Nicholas J. Goldsworthy, JD serves as the primary legal advisor for small and medium-sized businesses, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day business transactions. He provides comprehensive counsel on a wide range of business matters, including vendor, supplier, customer, and employee contracts, as well as licensing and corporate structuring. He also assists clients with shareholder agreements, governance frameworks, equity incentive plans, and investor relations.
On the transactional side, Nick guides buyers and sellers through every stage of mergers and acquisitions — from early strategic planning and drafting letters of intent to due diligence, negotiation, and closing the final deal. Licensed in Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin, he is dedicated to helping businesses across the region build a strong legal foundation for long-term success.
A lifelong Michigander, Nick lives in Fenton with his wife and daughter. In the warmer months, he can often be found out on the lake with family and friends, making the most of Michigan's beautiful summers. He enjoys golfing, wakeboarding, reading, and playing chess.
Having been an entrepreneur for most of his life, Nick finds it refreshing and energizing to work with business owners who are passionate about what they do. He takes genuine interest in learning not only about the legal challenges his clients face, but also how their businesses operate, what drives them, and where they want to go. Nick believes he grows just as much from the experience of working with his clients as they do from their time together, and he values the open-minded collaboration that leads to better solutions.
